Your health companion on WhatsApp — every feature and how to use it

1. Welcome to Tamini

Tamini is your personal health companion on WhatsApp, available at any hour. It learns your conditions, your medications and your diet so it can give you advice made for you, not general material copied from the internet.

Tamini is built for elderly people and their families. It understands Arabic and English, and it replies to Arabic speakers in Jordanian dialect, warmly and plainly.

What can it do?

2. Getting Started

1. Save this number: +962 7 7147 7146

2. Open WhatsApp and send it any message — "hello", for instance.

3. Tamini replies with a registration notice in your language and asks for one thing: your full name, as written on your ID.

4. Reply with your full name.

5. Tamini shows you the Privacy Policy and the Terms and asks you to agree. Reply AGREE to open your account, or NO if you would rather not — nothing is saved either way until you agree.

6. You get a registration confirmation with your account number, your registered name and the date your free trial runs to. Keep it.

Tamini works out your language from every message you send. Write in Arabic and it replies in Arabic; switch to English mid-conversation and it switches with you. There is no language setting to configure — just write in whichever language is comfortable.

3. Setting Up Your Health Profile

After registration you get a welcome message explaining what Tamini can do. The most important thing to start with is telling it about your conditions — that is what lets it tailor everything else to you.

What to share

You do not have to say everything at once. Tell it a little at a time over the days — the more it knows, the better it understands your case.

4. Features in Detail

4.1 Health and nutrition conversation

Talk to Tamini the way you would talk to a friend. Ask about your health, your food, your medications or your test results. It knows your conditions and medications, so its answers are made for you.

Questions you might ask:

4.2 Food diary

Whenever you mention food in a message, Tamini logs it by itself. No special command is needed — just write naturally.

Tamini follows your food over seven days and warns you gently if something that does not suit your condition keeps recurring.

4.3 Photos

Tamini recognises the kind of photo you send and handles it accordingly:

4.4 Medical reports

You can send Tamini photos or PDFs of your medical reports. It reads them, extracts the information and offers to save it.

Supported reports:

Send all your reports, including old ones. The more history Tamini has, the better it can follow your trends.

4.5 Lab result tracking

When you send a blood test or a laboratory result, Tamini compares every value against the previous one. You will see an arrow beside each:

It explains what each change means in plain language and without alarm. If something deserves attention, it suggests you mention it to your doctor.

4.6 Medication tracking

Tamini keeps track of your medications in three ways:

If you later say "I'm now on Metformin 1000mg", it updates the existing record.

4.7 Voice notes

If typing is difficult, send a voice message on WhatsApp. Tamini then:

1. Confirms it arrived.

2. Converts it to text.

3. Treats it exactly like a written message — food logging, health advice, everything above.

4.8 Your health portal

You have a personal web portal that shows all your health data in one place. It works in any browser, on a phone or a computer.

The first time you use Tamini after registering, it sends you your portal link on its own. After that you can ask for a fresh one whenever you like.

How to open it

1. Type "my portal" in the conversation.

2. Tamini sends you a link that belongs to you.

3. Open the link in your browser.

4. Enter the phone number registered with Tamini.

5. A six-digit verification code arrives on WhatsApp. Enter it on the page.

6. Your portal is ready, and the session stays active for seven days.

The link is valid for thirty days. After that, ask for a new one by typing "my portal" again.

What you will find there

The portal has six tabs:

4.9 Weight and calorie tracking

Alongside logging your food, Tamini estimates the calories and nutrients in your meals and helps you track your weight towards your goal.

✨ All calorie and nutrient figures are AI estimates and carry a ~. They are useful for awareness, and are not a substitute for accurate dietary tracking. Tamini follows and encourages; it does not set calorie targets or strict diets.

5. The Family System

Tamini supports a full family system with three roles:

5.1 Primary caregiver

This is the person who manages the patient's account — usually a son, daughter or spouse. They can:

A caregiver can manage up to two patients at once, and a patient has one caregiver.

Linking a patient. Nothing of the patient's is shared until the caregiver confirms in the chat — by replying AGREE — that the patient has given explicit, informed consent, or that the caregiver has legal authority to act for them (Terms, section 7). The patient is then told that the caregiver can see their conversations and their health portal.

If two hours pass without a message, Tamini asks who you are speaking about, to be sure it is replying on the right account.

5.2 The caregiver portal

The caregiver has their own web portal for managing accounts from a browser. It offers:

To open it, the caregiver types "my portal" in the conversation. The portal is protected by phone verification, like the patient portal.

5.3 The patient

The patient talks to Tamini normally. The caregiver sees all of the patient's conversations and their health portal; the patient does not see the caregiver's messages.

5.4 Siblings — viewing only

Siblings follow the patient's conversations with Tamini through a secure browser link, read-only, without sending. Up to three siblings per patient.

The sibling view page

Each sibling gets their own link. When they open it:

1. They enter their registered phone number.

2. A verification code arrives on WhatsApp.

3. After verification they see the patient's conversations with Tamini, read-only.

4. The page refreshes itself every thirty seconds.

If a sibling messages Tamini directly, they receive a gentle reply reminding them that their account is view-only, with the viewing link.

6. Reminders and Proactive Messages

Tamini does not wait for you to write. Its proactive messages all arrive in your preferred language and in your local time.

6.1 Medication reminders

If you have told Tamini your medications and their times, it reminds you at each one. The reminder arrives on WhatsApp with two buttons: "Taken ✓" and "Remind me later". If you do not reply within thirty minutes, a gentle nudge follows.

Managing your medications

These phrases are tested, and each one reaches the command it promises:

"remind me to take Metformin at 08:00" — adds a reminder time

"change Metformin from 08:00 to 10:00" — moves the reminder time

"remove Metformin at 08:00" — removes a single time

"stop taking Metformin" — stops the medication and all its reminders

6.2 Appointment reminders

Whenever you mention an upcoming appointment in conversation, in any language, Tamini detects and saves it. You get two reminders: the evening before at seven, and the morning of at seven.

"my appointments" — shows your upcoming appointments

"cancel my appointment" — cancels it

6.3 Repeat-test reminders

If the report itself names when to retest — a date or a month — Tamini saves it and reminds you once, when it falls due. If the report does not say, Tamini says nothing: it will not estimate an interval or infer one from the type of test. When to repeat a test is your doctor's decision, not ours.

"stop reminding me about cholesterol" — stops that one test's reminder

6.4 Weekly health summary

On Sunday morning in your local time, Tamini sends two summaries — health and diet: how many messages you sent, how many meals you logged, your active medications and your next appointment.

6.5 Check-in messages

Once a week, on Thursday, Tamini sends one short friendly message to see how you are. Just the one, and it does not reach back into an earlier conversation or reopen an old topic — if there is something you want to talk about, you start it.

Note the difference: check-in messages and medication reminders are separate, and each has its own command. Stopping reminders does not stop check-in messages, and stopping check-in messages does not stop your medication reminders.

"stop check-ins" — stops the check-in messages only

"resume check-ins" — brings them back

6.6 Seeing all your reminders

"my reminders" — a complete view: medication reminders with their times, upcoming appointments, repeat-test dates, the state of the weekly summary and the state of check-in messages.

6.7 Updating your time zone

Tamini uses your time zone to send reminders at the right local time. If you travel or move, tell it where you are:

"I'm in Amman" — it knows more than twenty locations and maps them to the right time zone. All your reminders adjust accordingly.

6.8 Pausing and resuming reminders

"pause reminders" — pauses all medication reminders until you resume them

"pause reminders for 3 days" — pauses them and brings them back by itself after three days

"resume reminders" — brings them all back

7. Subscription Plans

Tamini gives you ten days of free trial with every feature, and fifty messages. After the trial, choose a plan:

What counts as a message?

Every message you send — text, voice, image or PDF — counts towards your monthly limit, without exception.

The monthly counter resets to zero on the first of each month. Tamini warns you at 25%, 50%, 75% and 90% of your limit.

8. Your Privacy and Your Data

Tamini takes your privacy seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Tamini is operated by Al-Maseer for Software & Computer Systems LLC, a Jordanian company registered in Amman under number 82636, and handles your data under Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. (24) of 2023 and, for users in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law.

What Tamini never does

Your data rights

CommandWhat it does
my dataShows a complete summary of everything stored about you.
my profileShows your health profile in detail.
my usageShows your plan and how many messages you have used this month.
privacyShows a summary of the privacy policy.
delete my dataDeletes your account and everything in it, after you confirm with YES. Only your account number and billing records are kept. You can also do this under Settings in your portal.
withdraw consentWithdraws your consent. The service cannot work without your data, so this deletes your account, after you confirm with YES.

Deleting data in families

If you are a patient within a family and type "delete my data", you confirm with YES like anyone else, and your account is deleted straight away. Your caregiver is told. They cannot cancel it, and they and the family members following you lose access at once.

When a caregiver types "delete my data", they choose [My data] or a patient's name. "My data" deletes the caregiver's own account; their patients keep their own accounts. A patient's name deletes that patient's health information after a YES; the patient's account stays open, and the patient is told.

You can also write to our Data Protection Officer at info@almaseer.co to ask for access to your data, a copy, or a correction, or to withdraw your consent. We reply within 30 days.
